Miriam a five year old Russian girl. Ww2 has started. Miriam’s mother Eliana wants to leave the country but her father Azriel wants to stay in Russia. One night Miriam has an awful feeling. She feels unsafe. She creeps into her parents room and settles next to Eliana. Not an hour later they were awoken to screaming and shouting. The Germans were here. They were brought out onto the streets. Azriel didn’t make it. Eliana kept tight hold of Miriam as they were placed in cattle cars and taken to goodness knows where. They were taken to a camp all the way in Germany where they were separated. Eventually Miriam reunited with her mother in the camp. She stayed there for a year. Until they heard that some were being transported to another camp. Eliana found a way for Miriam to escape and tood her to meet her in England once the war was over.
